The first way of applying for unemployment insurance as a Kentuckian is by accessing the Office of Employment and Training website. The link is below-
According to the website, you will need the following information in order to file a claim:
- your Social Security Number
- your mailing address
- contact information (name, address and phone number) for all of your employers in the last 18 months
- the specific start and end dates for each of those jobs
- your Alien Registration number if not a U.S. citizen
Register at the link at the bottom of the Unemployment Insurance Claim Filing page, and you will be given a 4-digit PIN number so you can log back in to the KEWES eBenefit system to manage your application. Write down that PIN number.
Your application for Kentucky unemployment benefits must be completed before midnight Saturday of that week or else your application will be deleted. Make sure all questions are completely filled in.
