Easy Ways to Stay Hydrated During Winter

Staying hydrated during the colder months is essential for good health and keeping your body in balance is simple with regular water intake. It's challenging to keep up with it, especially since you're not sweating as much; however, dehydration can take its toll and lead to a variety of health conditions and problems. Here are some easy ways to stay well-hydrated during winter season:

Carry a flask of water: You won't fare well with regular bottled water, especially if you're traveling in snow and icy conditions. Since water bottles can simply freeze to easily, carry a flask of water around and sip it throughout the day.

Drink decaffeinated tea: Decaf teas of all varieties are great for your health, and can easily increase your fluid intake throughout the day. Carry a few decaf tea bags with you during traveling so you have easy access to your favorite flavors.

Eat water-based foods: Keeping up with fresh fruit and veggies isn't just good for your waistline, it can help you increase your daily water intake as well. Stock up on cucumbers, lettuce, and juicy fruits throughout the season.

Cut back on caffeine: It's easy to get caught up in the holiday revelries and start boosting your caffeine intake to keep up! However, too much caffeine can make you excessively dehydrated so it's a good idea to keep it at a minimal level.

Use a juicer: Freshly squeezed fruits and vegetables are a natural source of water, along with valuable vitamins and minerals. Invest in a juicer (or ask Santa for one) so you can make your own juice at home and up your water intake during the process!

Cut back on sodium: Salty foods can make you excessively thirsty and can also lead to bloating. Cutting back on sodium will help keep your body in balance so avoid those nuts and fried snacks and reach for healthier choices instead.
