In Arkansas the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services handles unemployment benefits. If you have lost your job and you didn't even give them any reason to fire you. The state of Arkansas provides monetary unemployment benefits to workers who have lost their jobs and are seeking employment. The purpose of the benefit is to help unemployed workers and their families with necessary living expenses until the unemployed worker can find another position. The amount a worker is allowed to draw from the unemployment compensation system depends upon how much he made in the year prior to when he filed a claim for unemployment benefits. However, weekly benefits may not exceed $345.

If you have already filed for unemployment in Arkansas, you can complete your weekly claim forms online instead of filling out a paper form or certifying your unemployment over the phone. As of December 2010, however, you cannot file an initial unemployment claim online in Arkansas. In the future, you will be able to do so on EZARC, or Easy Arkansas Claims. No deployment date for the online system has been announced.

Enter in your Social Security number, date of birth and PIN. Click on the "Login" button to be taken to the online claim form.

Answer the online questions regarding your job search efforts, availability for work and earned income during the week. If you have earned wages, even if you have not yet been paid, you must disclose the amount earned and the employer. Verify your answers and click on "Submit" to file your weekly claim. You only have 15 minutes to complete your online claim before the system automatically logs you out.
